Caliber .38 with a 4" fluted and octagonal barrel. The barrel holds two loads which are loaded one on top of the other and fired by two hammers which direct the fire from a percussion cap to two different positions within the breech of the barrel. The barrel is brownish gray in color and scroll engraved on the right side and stamped "LINDSAY'S YOUNG AMERICA MAN'F'D.BY/LINDSAY MAN'FG CO./NEW YORK." Left side of the barrel is engraved with a stand of arms including the American flag. Engraving is only lightly worn and markings are very sharp. Brass frame has nice age and does not show any abuse. The left side of the frame is nicely engraved with a simple white-tail deer which is fairly well done. Traces of some engraving are present on the right side of the frame but that engraving is worn off. Two piece walnut grips are in fine condition with traces of original varnish. Action works well.
