28 caliber with 3 7/16" round barrel. Six-shot straight cylinder. The gun is nickel plated with 95% plating remaining overall. The plating has a softened appearance and the engraving on either side of the frame is slightly weak indicating it may be an old renickel. Maynard tape priming mechanism is present and even contains a large roll of tape primers in the magazine. Serial number 407. Action works well. Top strap above the cylinder is excellently marked "MASS. ARMS CO. CHICOPEE FALLS." Patent dates are well marked on the backstrap. Two piece walnut grips are in fine condition showing light wear.
