.45 caliber. Overall length of 13" with a 5 7/8" octagonal barrel. Barrel is a little loose on the cylinder pin. Barrel has traces of original blue finish remaining but is mostly faded to brown color. Light scroll engraving is present on the top flat of the barrel along with the maker's name "MORTIMER" which is engraved in block letters. British proof marks are present on the six-shot cylinder and on the barrel. The frame is dull gray in color with nice lightly worn scroll engraving on either side. Bar style hammer. Action works well. Two piece checkered walnut grips show light wear only. A steel capbox is contained in the gripcap. The front strap of the grip indicates that there may have been a break and a repair there at some time although it is not obvious.
