.36 caliber percussion revolver with 7" octagonal barrel and six-shot cylinder. Gun overall is dark brown with light roundness to edges and corners. Stampings on the top strap are excellent. Barrel is mounted with a silver blade front sight. Two small dovetails are present beneath the barrel with the loading lever catch attached in the rear most dovetail. Forward dovetail is empty. It appears that the loading lever may have been damaged at some point and shortened thus causing the catch to be moved rearward. Action works although hammer does not always stand on full cock. Two piece walnut grips have faint cartouche on the right side and some filler material added to repaired gouges to the wood. Otherwise, grips are in very good condition.
