Overall length 7 3/8". Round barrel with top flat 3 1/2" long and about .41 caliber. Barrel has about 50% of its shiny original brown finish present. Engraving on the patent style breechplug is extremely sharp and shows no wear. Engraving on the backaction lockplate and hammer is similar condition although the lockplate is a dull brownish gray color. Lock works well. Stock is of walnut and extends almost to the muzzle of the barrel. Stock retains about 90% original shiny varnish overall. A small chip of wood is missing on the bottom edge of the lockplate where the sear falls below the plate. Checkering is present in the grip area and shows only the lightest of wear. Stock is mounted with German silver furniture comprising the buttcap, triggerguard, barrel key inlays, nosecap, bolster inlay, shield inlay on the wrist and the sidelock screw washer. All of the furniture is finely engraved in typical Deringer fashion.
